Errigal View Pump Station Upgrade

Donegal County Council proposes to carry out development at Ballaghderg, Letterkenny as described below.

The proposed development is located at Errigal View estate, in the townland of Ballaghderg, Letterkenny, in the Letterkenny/Milford Municipal District.

The proposed development will seek to provide a permanent solution for the existing non-functioning, defective and environmentally hazardous wastewater pumping station at Errigal View estate.

The project will be carried out in accordance with the drawings associated with this application and will include:

• Construction of underground chambers for wastewater pumping and emergency storage;
• 2 no. 2m high kiosks and 2 no. 1.4m high kiosks for housing of mechanical and electrical plant;
• 6.5m high vent stack;
• 2.4m high wire mesh fencing around the pump station for security;
• 1 no. 5.5m high lamppost to light the pump station;
• Decommissioning and demolition of existing non-functioning pumping station infrastructure including above ground kiosks, underground chambers and associated pipework.

A submission or observation in relation to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made in writing to the Co. Secretariat, Donegal County Council, County House, Lifford Co. Donegal, F93 Y622 before 4.30pm on Friday 20th August 2021.
